Beginning in South Florida along the banks of the Miami River, Allied Marine has grown from a local yacht brokerage to a global powerhouse. The exclusive dealer for Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing and Itama in the US, and an authorized dealer for CRN and Custom Line yachts, Allied Marine now has over 45 brokers in 6 US offices. The Fort Lauderdale office boasts the largest covered, in-water marina in the US.
1945Allied Marine was started in 1945 along the banks of the Miami River in Florida. At the time, World War II veterans were returning and looking for recreation on the water. They wanted to purchase boats and needed a place to service them. Allied Marine was formed to fulfill their needs. The connection to WW2 veterans is how the term “Allied” made it into our company name.
1978Allied Marine Group was purchased by Winthrop P. Rockefeller, an avid yachtsman and fisherman and the great-grandson of industrialist John D. Rockefeller.
1991Allied Marine Group establishes locations in Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, and Stuart, Florida.
1992Allied Marine Group further expands to eight sales locations and five service centers on the east and west coasts of Florida.
2005Allied Marine opens an office at Bahia Mar in Fort Lauderdale to offer brokerage and charter services for superyachts.
2008Ferretti SpA, which owns the Italian superyacht brands CRN and Custom Line, finalized the acquisition of Allied Marine and changed the name to Allied Marine Group. The newly named Allied Marine Group specializes in new yacht sales, yacht brokerage, and post[1]sales service.
2014In keeping with the times, as the demand for larger vessels grew, the new Allied Marine Superyacht Division was created, located in our Bahia Mar office in Ft. Lauderdale.
2017Allied Marine begins an enhanced relationship with its controlling company, The Ferretti Group, making Allied Marine the exclusive dealer for Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Itama and Riva in the United States, as well as an authorized dealer for CRN and Custom Line yachts.
2019New Ferretti Group Service Yard opens in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The Ferretti Group Service Yard offers a full range of yacht repair and refit services for vessels up to 300 feet, 16 hurricane-safe slips, a 27,500 square-foot workshop with an extensive parts inventory, and travel lifts available up to 485 tons.
2021The Ferretti Group, the parent company of Allied Marine, launched a $302 million Hong Kong Initial Public Offering (IPO) to finance future investments.
2022The newly renovated Fort Lauderdale Ferretti Group Flagship Showroom opens to the public. The largest covered in-water showroom in the Americas, encompassing 20,000 square feet. The showroom offers a reception area, Riva Lounge, a dozen covered slips for yachts and superyachts, amid intimate seating and meeting areas.
