The project’s philosophy is based on the desire to maintain Pershing Yachts unequalled performance in a different size and weight class: the superyacht. Mission accomplished.

Say Pershing and you think of the adrenaline rush of accelerating in open waters, or a sudden change of tack that feels like piloting a jet on the sea. Multiply all this by 140 feet and you’ll be close to the incredible splendor of this new superyacht, the brand’s first in aluminum. But you’ll only be close, because the Pershing 140 is pure excitement—and if you’ve never tried it, how would you know?

The new 140-foot Pershing was a collaboration among architect Fulvio De Simoni, the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee (led by engineer Piero Ferrari), and the Group Engineering Department, and is the first Pershing made at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, Italy. Extending over three spacious decks, the new flagship shows all its power on the water, giving you that thrill as only Pershing can. The project’s philosophy is based on the desire to maintain Pershing’s unequalled performance in a different size and weight class: the superyacht. The use of a hull platform specifically for high performance, with outstanding hydrodynamic abilities at high speeds and propelled by four MTU 16V2000 M96L 2600 hp engines, achieved the goal of creating the first Pershing superyacht with an LOA of 43.3 meters and a maximum speed of 38 knots.

But the Pershing 140 is not just the brand’s first superyacht to deliver outstanding performance, it’s also the first with a raised helm station directly connected to the sun deck; the first to have the yacht owner’s area on the main deck and the first to provide maximum comfort on all decks and external areas, with a beach area that can be fully opened on three sides. Stylistically, the new flagship proudly displays its streamlined contours, emblematic of the brand’s sporting and competitive spirit, and further accentuated by the optional extra of a steel grill on the bow. It also combines novel design elements with iconic brand details, such as the two side wings integrated into the superstructure at the beginning of the walkways. The bow, on the other hand, with its unequivocally contemporary design, enhances the Pershing 140’s aerodynamics. The entire bow mooring area is concealed by a cover with an automatic up/down mechanism, maintaining the streamlined design. For the interior, Pershing 140 superyachts can be owner-designed with the assistance of designers from the Fulvio De Simoni Studio and project architects from the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard. The whole onboard design is tailored to reflect the style of the owner, who can add to or customize the various standard layouts.

A LARGE BEACH CLUB ON THE WATER

A feature of the new Pershing 140 is the original layout of the stern, achieved by raising the cockpit and making it a mezzanine: this creates a vast area overlooking the sea that rises from the water up to the sun deck and brings the whole stern together. This revolutionary design creates a vast waterside beach club, fully accessible and that can be furnished with poufs, chairs and freestanding furniture. In the garage, you can store both a Williams 565 tender and a jet ski. For launching and towing, simply open the two side hatches on the port side.

Moving back towards the cockpit, the mezzanine ensures greater privacy as the first sunbathing area is shielded from prying eyes by the second cockpit lounge. The latter is furnished with a table that seats ten, accessed by going down a few steps forward, and protected by large glazed windows on the sides of the yacht. Designed for the utmost comfort, this solution enables the owner to enjoy a private area with all the benefits of outdoor seating, where guests can pass easily between the outdoor areas or walk forward on the main deck to the saloon after passing through the lounge. Passing through the glass door from the cockpit, you reach an open space flooded with natural light, divided into a living area and dining area. Amidships on the main deck leads to the crew quarters on one side and the owner’s suite on the other.

On the port side, a corridor leads to the helm station or to the day toilet. The master cabin is also in this area. Also on the port side, through a door on the external walkway, are the stairs down to the lower deck, housing the galley and crew quarters. On the opposite side, forward, you first come to a passage with stairs down to the guest cabins. Continuing on, you enter the owner’s quarters: a large full-beam private suite, which the owner may personalize and fit out as desired. Fitted as standard with a double bed, walkin wardrobe on the port side, and lounge on the starboard side, it enjoys a glorious view. On the foredeck is the large bathroom, fitted with separate shower and bath, with toilet and washbasin on the two sides. On the first unit, the owner chose to install an entertainment room, eliminating the bed to make room for sofas, chairs, tables, and a large TV screen.

SUPERIOR-LEVEL COMFORT

Below decks there are four comfortable guest suites, two double and two twin, each with its own wardrobe and bathroom. The crew quarters are also very comfortable: the lobby leads to a large galley on the port side, separated from the dinette by a door on the starboard side; continuing forward, there are three double cabins with bunkbeds, each with private bathroom. The lobby also gives the crew direct access to the engine room and garage.

RELAXING AND ENTERTAINING

The Pershing 140’s upper deck blends perfectly with the overall look and is protected at the center by an aluminum hard-top. Designed as a spacious panoramic terrace, it can be furnished throughout with freestanding pieces, and is accessed from the cockpit mezzanine or from the raised helm station. The latter is directly linked to the second control station, for steering the flagship from outside. Perfect for entertaining, the upper deck houses a bar and grill area, a relaxation area with sun pad, and, exclusively on the first unit, a projector and screen (both removable) and installed loudspeakers.

The spacious forward outside areas, only accessible via the side walkways, house an area with a large sun pad leading to a fully-fledged concealed lounge; this is equipped with a Jacuzzi, built-in dinette with two seats, table, and sunbathing area. The area is only revealed when the yacht is moored or anchored, whereas when at sea it is covered by a sliding platform to maintain the external streamlined contours. This private area can also be fitted out entirely to the owner’s taste.

HI-TECH POWER AND WELLBEING

The first unit of the Pershing 140 has four MTU 16V 2000 M96L 2600 hp engines. Hydrojet propulsion ensures outstanding performance, both at cruising and maximum speeds, which can reach 35 and 38 knots respectively.  Faithful to Pershing’s DNA, the domotics and electronics systems are all state-of-the-art. In keeping with the brand’s tradition of always delivering outstanding performance while never compromising on wellbeing or relaxation, the new 140-foot yacht is equipped with the most advanced stabilizing systems to provide the utmost comfort even when at anchor. After a day of thrills that only Pershing can give you.
