Allied Marine is delighted to announce that well-respected yachting industry professional Bruce Schattenburg has joined its our team, one of the largest new and pre-owned international yacht sales firms in the world, as Director of Luxury Yacht Charters.
In conjunction with this appointment, Ferretti Group has opened a high-profile new Allied Marine office, strategically located in Fort Lauderdale’s “marine mecca”, Bahia Mar Yachting Center, next door to National Marine Suppliers. Schattenburg, who leads the team at the new office, will serve a dual role by expanding Allied Marine’s Luxury Yacht Charter Division and re-opening the Allied Marine-Ferretti Group Superyacht Division, focused on sales of new and pre-owned yachts over 100 feet in length. Ferretti Group companies Ferretti, Pershing, Itama, Bertram, Riva, CRN and Custom Line build a large number of superyachts among their many different yacht offerings each year.
A California native who has long made yachting capital Fort Lauderdale his home, Schattenburg brings more than three decades of experience in the yachting industry to his new position with Allied Marine. Most recently, he was Director of U.S. Operations for yacht sales, charter and management company Y.CO USA in Fort Lauderdale. Prior posts include Yacht Broker with International Yacht Collection (IYC), Managing Director/Partner of The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals, and Yacht Broker with Fraser Yachts in both Fort Lauderdale and San Diego, Calif. Deeply involved in promoting and serving the yachting industry, Schattenburg is past President of the Florida Yacht Brokers Association (2009 term), has served on the FYBA Board of Directors since 1999, and is a Founding Member of the U.S. Superyacht Association.
