“Altair”

Altair is an exceptional example of this classic Ray Hunt designed Grand Banks Eastbay 54'.  She is in excellent condition with a Flag blue hull, gold leaf cove stripe, Sandstone tan nonskid decks with white waterways. The  exterior bright work is in excellent condition, and the hull has been ceramic coated as well as the cabin sides, cabin, and windows.   ALTAIR is in very nice condition inside and out.  Her interior is finished in high gloss and her soft goods were replaced in 2021,  The decls were painted in 2018 and the hull was painted in 2019.  She is equipped with C-15 Acert Caterpillar diesels rated at 850hp.  All engine services are up to date.  She had a few service details completed in Stuart, Fl.at the Grand Banks service yard in may including:  Both shafts were pulled, cutlass and tube bearings replaced, props reconditioned and prop speed coated, and all batteries replaced. Over the last year al four AC units were replaced as well as the salt water pump. Altair was also hauled 9/25/23 the bottom cleaned, all underwater metal cleaned, prepped, and repainted or Propspeed coated as necessary. Zimcs were checked and replaced as needed.  The Caterpillar dealer has also just completed an inspection and repairs as needed.  She is standing tall and ready for her next owners.

ALTAIR is one of the most stunning Eastbay 54's ever made! She features a two stateroom, two head layout with a lounge area across form the galley with a pocket door. Which allows this area to serve as a third stateroom with a single berth when/if desired. She has been constantly updated through the years including many updates recently. ALTAIR has a large cockpit for entertaining with three teak folding chairs, built in bench seating, an electric grill, and good storage. Or via molded steps port and starboard. This is a large area and can be used for entertaining with the teak chairs, high bench seating, and the electric grill concealed under conver on the starboard side.The salon entrance door is centerline three comfortable steps from the cockpit. These steps lift up at the touch of a button to provide access to the engine room. The double doors open outward and allow for a wide entrance in an out of the main salon.The interior features the high gloss teak interior throughout and high quality woodwork that Grand Banks is famous for. There is a straight settee on the port side with a try-fold teak table with holly inlay and two stools for additional seating. Two Grand Banks barrel chairs flank the entertainment console. There is a large flatscreen TV on a lift outboard of this console. The teak & holly sole is covered by a custom banded flat weave rug with a plaltic runner to protect from wear and tear and sun exposure.The helm features a Stidd pedestal seat and there is a companion Stidd pedestal seat to port featuring a duplicate GPS screen. The 360 degree views out the large windows of the salon let in an abundance of natural light and allow for exceptional visibility from the helm. Natural ventilation is provided by a center "vent" powered window in the windshield, two overhead hatches, two sliding windows, the side helm door, and the aft double salon doors.Head down a set of stairs centerline to the U shaped galley to port with all the amenities to produce meals at rest or underway. Included are two sets of Sub-Zero refrigerated stainless steel drawers, deepfreeze, Sharp microwave/convection oven, Princess 3 burner stovetop, and a Force 10 oven. There is also good storage above and below the counter space. Adjacent tall locker in the lounge area can serve as a pantry if desired. The drawer style dishwasher is adjacent opening into the passageway forward.Acoss from the galley to starboard is a multi-use room with straight settee/bunk, and round teak table which can be closed off with raised panel solid teak, pocket doors (instead of curtains). This feature can provide a third private sleeping area.Heading forward to port is the guest stateroom with single side-by-side twin berths, hanging locker between them, drawers beneath the after berth. Which if the cushion is removed can be used as an office desk. Many of the original manuals for engines, transmissions, generator, appliances, and some records can be found here. There is a flat screen TV and separate stereo system for this cabin as well as AC/heat temp. controls.

To starboard and across from this guest cabin is the guest/day head with large separate stall shower.

The master stateroom is forward with a centerline queen pedestal bed with an inner spring mattress. There is plentiful storage in hanging lockers, drawers, and cabinets. The spacious master head with a large separate stall shower is aft to port. There is a flatscreen TV and a operate stereo system, AC/heat control as well.
